In Claritas Spring Retreat and Conference 2013

The Spring Retreat will be held at Salisbury-Sarum, UK, from May 29 thru 31, 2013. On may 31, the first International In Claritas Conference will take place.

The city of Salisbury is located in the south-east of Wiltshire. Its famous medieval cathedral is one of the finest in England. Two miles from Salisbury lies Old Sarum, an ancient hilltop site. For more than 4,000 years it served as a fortress and religious site, from a Neolithic henge and fort to a Norman castle and cathedral.

The Venue: Sarum College

Sarum College offers a unique and distinguished location for meetings, conferences, events and functions with full catering services. Housed in Grade 1 listed buildings in Salisbury’s beautiful Cathedral Close, the College provides excellent facilities in peaceful, secluded surroundings only 10 minutes from the rail and bus stations.

The Sacred in Organization

The theme of the Spring Retreat is inspired by the environment in which it will take place, Sarum College in Salisbury, and will be built around the experience of the sacred in organization.

Programme Wednesday 29 May

13:30    Walk in

14:00    Concentration, contemplation and meditation – the art of seeking the sacred within. Karin Jironet, Harry Starren, In Claritas

14:30    Dialogue on nourishing the human spirit. Keith Lamdin, Principal of Sarum College, with Tim Harle, In Claritas

16:00    Silent walk with Tony Nolan, Leader of Spirituality in Everyday Life program, Sarum College

17:30    Church hierarchy versus a community of disciples. Rt Revd Nicholas Holtam, Bishop of Salisbury with Peter Brown, In Claritas

19:00    Closing meditation. Harry Starren, Karin Jironet

 

Programme Thursday 30 May

7:30      Morning prayer in Salisbury Cathedral (discretionary)

8:15      Breakfast

9:00      Working with the experiential relationship between governance, transcendence and In Claritas. Harry Starren and Karin Jironet

11:30    Divine principles in governance, Tim Harle on his recent publication with respondent Pam Fuhrmann, In Claritas

12:45    Midday prayer in the Sarum Chapel (discretionary)

13:00    Lunch

14:30    Renaissance and divine poetry. An inspirational visit to George Herbert’s house with introduction to Herbert’s poetry by Cam Danielson, In Claritas

17:00    Individual contributions, poetic or profane, related to governance and transcendence. Karin Jironet, Harry Starren

18:30    Supper

20:00    Mozart and Mahler in a concert with Pinchas, Arianna Zuckerman and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, in the Salisbury Cathedral

 

Friday 31 May

7:30      Morning prayer in Salisbury Cathedral (discretionary)

8:15      Breakfast

8:30      Finalizing conference preparations in sub groups

11:00    Start of the First International In Claritas Conference – Open to the public

 

The First International In Claritas Confrence – 31 May 2013

In this first international conference you will be introduced to the principles, practices and guidance of In Claritas through working together with us. It is an experiential learning process utilizing the treasures of the here and now found in the local cultural environment. It is also an opportunity to connect with an esteemed international body of In Claritas members and to follow the flow they will lead you through – an exciting adventure that you can never hope to duplicate but which will inspire you to create your own unique contribution.

12:00             Dialogue on how to nourish the spirit by Keith Lamdin, Principal of Sarum College

14:00             Experiential learning facilitated in various constellations
