Gerthe Lamers

Let me try to introduce who I think I am. I am a connector in heart and soul, and am happy that I have been able to make my work of it. I am organizing projects around art, rituals and spirituality. In these projects I want to contribute to connections: of people with each other, with themselves, with nature and cosmos. My passion is to connect worlds, to connect heaven and earth, whatever it might be…..

I work als a culture-coach for the council of Lochem, the place in the Netherlands where I live. And I love music. In my life Bach is my favorite composer. When I was twelve years old my mother took me to a rehearsal of the Matthäus Passion. Since then I’m involved with this beautiful work and this amazing composer. On a later age I sung this masterpiece many times in choirs and every year I organized concerts in Lochem.
Since many years compassion is the aim and inspirational theme in my life. As a chair of the board of the Dutch branch of the Charter for Compassion I hope to contribute to a society where compassion becomes more and more a central value for living and working together.
